Tidepools is an art, literature, and music magazine of the people of the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. It is published by students at Peninsula College with support from the Associated Student Council, The Buccaneer, and Peninsula Daily News.
2021
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Tidepools class was on hiatus for the 2020-2021academic year. Thanks to contributions from select Peninsula College students, faculty, and staff and support of the local community, Deirdre Frank, Tidepool editor in chief and English Professor at Peninsula College, still managed to publish a high-quality literary arts magazine and virtual reading. This film features ten poetry contributors reading their work as well as several other creators who share thoughts about their creative inspiration.
Special thanks to Matt Sagan of Cascadia Films for generously donating time and expertise to film and edit the Tidepools Virtual Reading 2021.
2020
Due to Covid-19 closures, Michael C. Mills, English and Art Instructor at Peninsula College made a recording of contributors to the 2020 issue of Peninsula College’s 50-year-old Tidepools Magazine so the general public can experience some of the artwork, poetry, and music included in the 56th issue.
